A few words about
What We Do
About Us
Helping people so they never doubt that they are
Valuable & Powerful
At the Kolena Foundation, we strive to help Veterans by bringing together services to help with housing, job training, education, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching.
Veterans
The mission is simple: bring the unhoused Veteran population down to zero. To do this, we will partner with organizations across our great nation to work with us in identifying the number of unhoused Veterans, as well as planning and collaborating to help our Heroes (and their significant others and especially their children) find safe, permanent housing.
Education
This alignment ensures veterans are ready to become entrepreneurs or business operators since they are so critical to the economic development as contributors to innovation and new job growth. The integrated programs of study below connect the dots between what veterans are learning and how they will use those skills in a future career.
entrepreneurship
We strive to provide veterans and entrepreneurs with a variety of experiential learning opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships, business pitch competitions, School clubs, campus centers, member-run businesses, and real world-class projects. Our goal is to help you develop a mindset that will benefit you in both the workplace and/or in starting your own business.
Awareness
Awareness is the state or ability to perceive, to feel, or to be conscious of events, objects, or sensory patterns. In this level of consciousness, sense data can be confirmed by an observer without necessarily implying understanding. More broadly, it is the state or quality of being aware of something. The Kolena Foundation works with our partners to raise awareness of our programs.
